A [Wonderful] Night With Welcomed

We are thrilled to report that A Night With Welcomed netted just over $10,000 to go toward our mission to surround vulnerable children with caring communties! With the help of our main event sponsor, L & L Propane and our Friends of Welcomed, we all gathered together to share the stories of kids from hard places being “Welcomed” into well-supported families and their larger church family.

Dennis Siler painted a beautiful picture of what it looks like to welcome such children into the church atmosphere, what it means to be understanding and compassionate toward them, and challenged us to consider the possibility that a child’s behavior is, rather than an expression of a rebellious spirit, trying communicate a message of longing for meaningful connection.

Dennis also encouraged us to look forward those days that we get to meet a child on their worst day. It’s at those times that we can show Jesus to these kids. “It’s not Dennis that they need to see, it’s Jesus.”

Daniel Tyler shared his story of a difficult early childhood, and how God brought him through to where he is now. Through an immersive audio experience, we entered his story and learned the importance of saying, “Yes,” to a vulnerable child on their hardest day.

We had so much fun connection with all of you who have the same heart to provide for the needs of vulnerable kiddos as they navigate this world and their place in it. To have all of you gathered in one place and knowing that for each one of you, there were ten who could not make it, was inspiring to us staff and I hope it was encouraging to you too!

Thank you again for your support in whatever unique way God has inspired you to serve and give. We know He cares for these children, and He’s doing it through you!
